Red in Stovepipe Hat “Red in Stovepipe Hat” is an original, one-of-a-kind drawing executed on a special Red Skelton concert poster, hand-signed by the internationally recognized artist, actor and humanitarian, Red Skelton. This unique clown is a self-portrait of the artist, wearing a black stovepipe hat with the makeup associated with Freddie the Freeloader, one of Red’s most important and loveable characters featured in almost every Red Skelton television show and Red’s concerts from 1951—1994. The artwork was drawn on a poster dated March 25, 2986 promoting Red’s concert at the ISA Minidome (Idaho State University at Pocatello.)
