“Bluebird of Paradise” is an original, one-of-a-kind oil painting on canvas, hand-signed by the internationally acclaimed artist, actor, and humanitarian, Red Skelton. This unique and delightful work of art measures 14” x 10” and was painted circa 1969. It is unframed. This is a very special painting as it was acquired directly from the artist. The owner’s husband worked for the Skelton family. Due ot this very close and personal friendship, Mr. Skelton made it possible for these friends to acquire this important work of art. The artist loved all animals, big and small, from the time he was a little boy growing up in Indiana. His yard was filled with robins and bluebirds, all of whom lived in the neighborhood. Many years later, Red decided to paint these childhood memories, and “Bluebird of Paradise” is one of Red’s beautiful memories growing up.
