“Showtime” is an original, mixed media pastel drawing on linen, hand-signed by the internationally recognized humanitarian, actor and artist, Red Skelton. This important original work of art measures approximately 22” x 22” and is beautifully framed using the finest quality of museum materials. Mr. Skelton was in show business since he was a teenager and learned everything possible about makeup before performing on stage. His good friend, Lucille Ball, who is featured in this wonderful portrait, is applying eye makeup while holding a yellow mirror. Ms. Ball was drawn with her customary orangish-reddish hair for which she was internationally known. Red Skelton and Lucille Ball were good friends on and off stage. Lucille frequently appeared as a guest on Red’s weekly television show which always was well received by viewers.
