“Freddie’s Friend” is a unique, one-of-a-kind, original work of art drawn on a porcelain plate and hand signed by the artist, humanitarian, and actor, Red Skelton. This porcelain plate measures approximately 6” in diameter, the original drawing was created in 1987 and it was dedicated by the artist to “Marie and Cliff”. Mr. Skelton drew very few works of art directly onto porcelain, making this special work of art very unique. “Freddie’s Friend” represents an individual whom Mr. Skelton knew and admired as almost all of Mr. Skelton’s portraits were based upon memories and reflections of men and women he knew between 1930 and 1970.
